The National Youth Employment Coalition (NYEC) seeks a determined and persuasive individual for a Policy Manager position. This is a full-time, hybrid position. The Policy Manager may work remotely, but must be available for regular meetings in the Washington, DC, area. The ideal applicant will be a curious and creative advocate for marginalized young adults, with experience doing the day-to-day work of policy advocacy. The Policy Manager will help lead NYEC’s efforts to connect young people and the professionals who serve them with decision-makers and advance NYEC’s policy agenda. They will remain in constant communication with key allies in the legislative and executive branches, help organize advocacy days for NYEC members and allies, and support internal and external coalitions and committees. They will assist with crafting communications, planning policy events and trainings, and building relationships with NYEC’s wide array of stakeholders. The National Youth Employment Coalition (NYEC) seeks a Local Systems Coordinator (LSC), a full-time, hybrid position. We would prefer someone in the DC area or another large metro area. The LSC must be available to travel throughout the continental United States to support NYEC’s local initiatives. The ideal applicant will be a curious and entrepreneurial advocate for marginalized young adults, with experience doing the day-to-day work of coalition building at the local level. The LSC will build local youth service ecosystems, with a focus on the workforce system. They will work across place-based efforts and advance NYEC’s policy agenda. NYEC seeks a Data Specialist, a full-time remote position. The Data Specialist will work with academic and research organizations to produce accessible data and research that can be used by practitioners and advocates to help prioritize populations, understand progress for disconnected youth, and articulate gaps in service and the opportunity costs of those gaps. The Specialist will create and maintain outward-facing data on the youth workforce that can be utilized by practitioners, advocates, and policymakers.
