Calling all conferencegoers! On April 4th, 2023, NYEC is partnering with Persevere, a transformational workforce development organization focusing on expanding opportunities for currently and formerly incarcerated individuals. During the afternoon pre-conference, NYEC and Persevere will work with attendees to problem-solve issues that they are facing to better outcomes for justice-impacted youth ages 16-26 years old. Topics will include partnering with local businesses and employers, leveraging workforce development agencies’ knowledge and impact to maximize the return-on-investment case to employers, applying asset-based assessments, and executing practical tips for job retention for justice-impacted youth. We will see you on April 4th in Indianapolis!
