House Appropriations Chairman Tom Cole (R-OK) Announces Tentative FY2025 Markup Schedule, Subcommittee Allocations, Non-Profit Ineligibility for Community Project FundingÂ
Chairman Cole shared a tentative markup schedule for the Appropriations Committee and Subcommittees, released Subcommittee allocations, and stated that non-profits will be ineligible for Community Project Funding in the Economic Development Initiative account. The Labor, Health and Human Services, Education and Related Agencies Subcommittee received a funding cut of approximately 10 percent. NYEC Sends Letter to Appropriations Leaders Detailing Funding PrioritiesÂ
NYEC sent a letter to House Appropriations Committee Chairman Tom Cole (R-OK) and Ranking Member Rosa DeLauro (D-CT) and Senate Appropriations Committee Chair Patty Murray (D-WA) and Vice Chair Susan Collins (R-ME) detailing our Fiscal Year 2025 Appropriations recommendations. The letter calls for significant funding increases to all of NYEC’s priority programs, which would help reduce the number of opportunity youth in the nation. Â
